About the Role:
We’re on the hunt for a driven and knowledgeable Business Development Manager to represent our draught and packaged beer portfolio across South Wales. This field-based role is all about growing our presence in the local on-trade market, working closely with pubs, bars, restaurants, and independent venues to secure new listings and drive brand loyalty. You’ll be the local face of our beer brands — passionate about product quality, customer relationships, and bringing our beers to life across taps and fridges throughout the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and grow on-trade sales of draught and packaged beer across South Wales.
- Secure new business by prospecting independently owned pubs, bar groups, restaurants, and live venues.
- Manage and nurture existing customer relationships to drive volume, loyalty, and repeat business.
- Coordinate with technical teams on draught system installations and maintenance.
- Pitch and promote our brands through site visits, product tastings, and staff training.
- Collaborate with marketing and trade marketing teams on POS activations, events, and in-outlet campaigns.
- Monitor and report on customer performance, sales activity, and local trends using CRM software.
- Represent the brand at local events, trade shows, and tap takeovers when required.
About You:
- Proven experience in on-trade drinks sales, ideally within the beer, cider, or broader beverage category.
- Sound understanding of draught beer systems and confident discussing cellar and dispense setup.
- Strong local knowledge and network within South Wales’ hospitality scene.
- Passion for beer — you know your pales from your porters and can talk about beer with authenticity.
- Resilient, self-motivated, and target-driven with a strong work ethic.
- Able to work independently on the road, managing your own diary and priorities.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly across the region.
