Wrexham Lager Proudly Signs the Armed Forces Covenant

At Wrexham Lager, community and heritage have always been at the heart of what we do. Earlier this year marked a particularly proud moment for our team, as we strengthened our commitment to supporting the Armed Forces community by officially signing the Armed Forces Covenant.

The signing took place during a special visit connected to the Royal Welch Fusiliers (RWF) Festival, an event we were honoured to sponsor, bringing together history, partnership, and purpose in a way that felt deeply meaningful for everyone involved.

Supporting the Royal Welch Fusiliers

As part of our involvement with the RWF Festival, we launched a limited edition RWF keg,

created to celebrate the legacy of the Royal Welch Fusiliers. For every keg sold, £5 was directly donated to support the RWF Museum at Caernarfon Castle, helping to preserve the remarkable history of the regiment for future generations.

We were also privileged to visit the RWF Museum itself, guided by Colonel Nick Lock, whose insight brought the stories and sacrifices of the regiment vividly to life.

What is the Armed Forces Covenant?

The Armed Forces Covenant is a promise from the nation that those who serve, or who have served, in the Armed Forces (along with their families) are treated with fairness and respect in the communities, economy, and society they serve under.

By signing the Covenant, we are publicly committing to supporting serving personnel, service leavers, veterans, and their families, and to recognise the unique challenges that military life can present. The Covenant is collectively fulfilled by businesses, charities and public bodies who choose to make a positive difference.

Our Commitment

Our CEO, Jon, proudly signed the Armed Forces Covenant on behalf of Wrexham Lager during the visit, reinforcing our long-term commitment to supporting the Armed Forces community.

For us, this is about more than a signature. It’s about recognising service, building inclusive workplaces, and standing alongside organisations and individuals who give so much. We’re proud to be part of a growing network of employers who are committed to doing the right thing.

With Thanks

This milestone would not have been possible without the support and collaboration of some incredible people. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to:

  • Colonel Nick Lock, for the guided tour of the RWF Museum
  • Chelsey David, Director of the RWF Museum, for her leadership and continued support
  • Claire Lewis, for her invaluable help throughout the project
  • Tony Fish, for his guidance and support with the Armed Forces Covenant
  • The entire Royal Welch Fusiliers team, for their continued partnership

Looking Ahead

Signing the Armed Forces Covenant is an important step, but it’s just the beginning. We look forward to continuing our support of the Armed Forces community and building on the relationships formed through the RWF Festival and beyond. It was a proud day for Wrexham Lager, and an honour to stand alongside the Royal Welch Fusiliers in support of those who serve.
